In Chinese legend, some of the dragons will have wings when their are one thousand years old. We ususlly called them ying lung.

Some ancient books like (Shan Hai Classic [book on ancient Chinese geography] ) record the story of this kind of dragon.

They may live in the ancient China, however, as the time past, we very few to find them in the annals.

May be some of Chinese also don't know ying lung, because we nearly can't see Chinese dragons which have wings in China nowadays.

But if somebody love history or love dragons, ying lung is famous for help ancient people to against The great flood.(Maybe the legends of the great flood can be see in may countries...and have a lot of editions...LOL)


In that legend, ying lung could use his tail to gash the land, and make the huge river, so channeled the the great flood off .
In another legend, ying lung is a important general, which help the Huang Di (Yan Di and Huang Di, two legendary rulers of remote antiquity. Nowadays, most of the Chinese will say that we are descendants of the them.).In remote antiquity, they are fighting with Chi You(The War Between Huang Di and Chi You are very famous in China), and in the last, ying lung help the Huang Di to kill the Chi You and another giant Kua Fu. later generations said ying lung is the deities of water, when there is drought, fete ying lung could have huge rain.
